Kaji Technology Corporation (“KAJI”) has been awarded a contract for one unit of Reciprocating Compressor from China Petrochemical Corporation (“SINOPEC”) for oil refinery and petrochemical plant complex which is built by a joint venture between SINOPEC and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (“KPC”), at Zhanjiang city, Guangdong Province, China.

This plant complex consists of a large oil refining plant with total crude refining capacity of 15 million tons/year and other various plants at its downstream including production of 1 million tons/year of Ethylene, 460,000 tons/year of Polyethylene, and 750,000 tons/year of Polypropylene.Engineering, procurement and construction is carried out by Sinopec Engineering Incorporation (“SEI”), a subsidiary company of SINOPEC.

The required compressor is for high pressure nitrogen gas service for Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate (EVA) production system based on the production process by LyondellBasell in Netherlands. KAJI has been highly evaluated for engineering, delivery record and quality of compressor, and successfully ordered as a result of competition with European companies.

Since SINOPEC is planning construction of more large plants, KAJI will strengthen sales activities to them, and will further endeavor to expand business on refinery and petrochemical plant construction projects in the world.
